A PLACE OF PEOPLE
Zoë Joncheere
After extensive travels as a researcher, writer on truth, freedom, and love, and facilitator of self-realization retreats (Nobody’s Dance), I reached a point where I felt it was time to settle down, to find a place on this beautiful planet that I could call home. Although I didn’t initially plan for it to be a shared space, it naturally evolved that way. I don’t aspire to be the ‘owner’ of this place, and I don’t have a master plan; I simply follow what my heart guides me to do.
In the first year at Amiglia, I’ve been doing research on how language affects the way we experience reality. This has led to organising the first Moving Language events in October 2025. They have been even deeper and more powerful than I had imagined. They will definitely be retaken in 2026.
The newsletters of Amiglia will provide you with more practical information and calendar updates. To receive my personal letters, Zoe’s letters, subscribe on my website.
Amiglia is unfolding and growing, becoming more and more Amiglia. A place where we cherish interconnectedness with the land, the river, the stones, the animals, and our very friendly neighbours.
Many people come to Amiglia and pour their love and energy into the place. For some Amiglia becomes part of their life.
When Rian first came to Amiglia - and Zoe - in January 2025, the two women felt as if they had known each other forever. A deep love - as exceptionlal as easy - was remembered, and continues to fulfil their hearts.
Since the summer of 2025, Rian takes care of the day-to-day practicalities at Amiglia. She welcomes the guests and makes Amiglia an even more beautiful place. She inspires visitors with her light, love and gratitude. As from February 2026, Rian will be a resident at Amiglia.
Luca (Zoe’s son) has poured his heart and energy into Amiglia until recently. He has now left his chickens behind to discover student life in Ghent (Belgium).
From the very beginning, Armin has often come to Amiglia for a few days at a time, working wonders — his specialty is cleaning up and creating space in the barns.
Lloyd is considering not returning to Aotearoa (New Zealand) and staying in Italy instead. For several reasons. One is the good food - that he likes to create, also at Amiglia.
