A small residency for artists who need time, space and community to create
Amiglia is opening three residency places this autumn.
A small, intimate residency for artists of any discipline who need time, space and community to focus on their work. Come for one, two or three weeks — and contribute according to your means.
The residency runs from 27 September to 17 October 2026, with three places available each week.
Three weeks, three artists at a time
There are three residency places available each week, and you can apply for one, two or all three weeks. This means we can welcome a small and changing group of artists throughout the residency.
We welcome artists from any discipline — writers, visual artists, photographers, dancers, musicians, filmmakers, performers, researchers, makers and more.
This is a small residency within the everyday life of Amiglia. You will have time and space to work independently, while also becoming part of the shared rhythm of the house.
What you can expect
During your stay, you will have your own bedroom and private bathroom, three home-cooked meals a day, a dedicated space to work, daily morning practice and time to focus on your artistic work.
There will also be moments to share your work, ideas and questions with the other residents, and plenty of space for informal exchange, walks, conversations and simply being.
What we ask from you
Amiglia is a living community, rather than a place where everything is simply provided for you. We ask residents to take part in the daily rhythm of the house and contribute around 30 minutes a day to preparing meals, setting the table, doing dishes or other small practical tasks.
We also ask for openness, consideration towards the other people in the house, and a genuine commitment to your artistic work.
Your contribution
We want this opportunity to be accessible to artists with different financial circumstances.
The suggested contribution for staying at Amiglia is €75 per day, but for this residency you can choose the level that reflects your means:
€10 / day
For artists with very limited financial means.
€45 / day
A reduced contribution towards the cost of your stay.
€75 / day

Your ability to pay is not the main criterion for selection. Your motivation, your artistic practice and your commitment to making good use of this time are.
Who are we looking for?
We are not looking for impressive CVs or established careers. We are looking for artists with a genuine practice and a clear reason for wanting to be at Amiglia now.
In your application, we want to hear what you are working on, why this time matters to you, and why Amiglia feels like the right place for it.

A note about languages spoken at Amiglia
Amiglia is multilingual. You can fill in the form in English, French, Dutch and Italian. We will understand each other easily when you speak one of these languages.
A note about October
October in Piemonte can be beautiful and crisp.
The bedrooms at Amiglia are not heated, so nights can be a little bit cold. Bring warm sleepwear and an extra layer.
The days are often very sunny and the shared living room has a wood-burning stove. At night it is the warm heart of the house.
