19-25 April 2026 | Spring retreat
INHABITING | A week for artists
and everyone wishing to expand their explorative skills
What to Expect
In this retreat you’ll enhance your observation and association skills, in the way of an artist. You will simply see more by being more present. You will explore how it feels to inhabit this moment, this body, the place where you are, and thus allow inspiration to find you.
❋ Questions
How do I inhabit my body and mind, the place where I am?
Where is me? And where is you? Where do I need to draw the line? And is that allowed? Necessary? Inspiring?
How do I relate to the house —its various parts— and to the surrounding land? At what moments am I inside, outside, or part of it?
What kind of freedom do I need to be the unique expression of my body and mind? Small, alone, big, together? What does it mean to interconnect? Physical? Spiritual? With the others, with the space of the house, of the land around?
❋ People & Place
This retreat is led by Zoë Joncheere & Mathilde van Beekhuizen.
For artists who like to be guided by transpersonal knowing. For spiritual seekers who want to enhance their capacity of observing (inner) landscapes.
The land of Amiglia and its surroundings is our field of exploration.
❋ Exploring
Zoe guides us with her expertise in meditation, Nobody’s Dance and Moving Language. With Mathilde we learn to observe as an artist: to track and map the landscape in unexpected ways, to zoom in and out, to question and to (re-)associate. In the synergy of the two women and the presence of the elements, we deepen our experience of inhabiting who we truly are and find new ways to give expression to that. This retreat is not about ‘making nice pieces of art to take home’ - although you will work with an expandable logbook that is yours to keep.
❋ A Supportive Space
We prioritize comfort, safety, and respect—so you can show up as you are and fully engage in the process.
❋ Expert Facilitation
Led by experienced guides who know how to hold space, encourage participation, and keep things moving with purpose.

How It Works
-
The retreat starts on Sunday with an evening session. We like you to land at Amiglia before.
We’ll end the retreat on Saturday in the morning.
-
Amiglia offers private rooms and shared rooms. Check out on our website what suits you best.
-
Provide us with all the information we need. You can also tell us if you would like to arrive on an earlier day or stay longer. Don’t forget to mention if you have a special diet.
-
We will confirm your registration and you will receive an email with extra information a few weeks before the start of your retreat.
We will also provide you with information about how we like to receive your donation once you have arrived. -
It’s easy to come by train to Amiglia. The Spigno (Monferrato) railway station is at less than 5km and we are happy to pick you up (for free). The closest airport is Genova. Sometimes it’s more convenient to fly to Milan. Let us know if you are looking for co-driving partners. Maybe we can help.
