GENTLE SUMMER RETREAT WEEK

Meaningful slow holidays connected to nature and community

What to Expect

Relax, reload and get inspired during a week at our intentional community and retreat center. This week is to celebrate yourself by taking a step back from the world out there and be carried by the natural rhythm of a shared life.

❋ Relaxing and rejuvenating

A Summer Retreat at Amiglia is designed to be flexible and easeful—you can arrive (almost) every Sunday of June, July or August, and join the ongoing rhythm. If arriving on a Sunday is not convenient for you, ask us to arrive on another day.

Each day includes two sessions: one is our Amiglia morning practice and another one in the late afternoon is guided by Zoe.

Because this is also holidays for you, we offer a bit of flexibility: if you want to go away for the day, you can miss a session. Where possible we will reschedule them.

You could also stay long days at Amiglia and make time move slowly: lingering on the land, walking, swimming in the river, journaling, reflecting, and connecting with fellow guests and the team.

Joining the Summer Retreat is simply an invitation to reconnect and remember how to live naturally.

The rolling hills surrounding Amiglia invite you to go on long walks. If you go early in the morning, chances are you meet deers and foxes.

The village of Spigno Monferrato is only a 25 minutes walk. A few small towns are worthwhile visiting too. We like the market in Acqui Terme (Tuesdays and Fridays) with fresh produce and second hand clothing.

The Mediterranean Sea is at 1 hour (by car or by train).

At about 1,5 hour driving, you’ll find the very charming town of Alba or - in the other direction - the vibrant city of Genoa.

❋ What else during your slow holiday?
❋ Extras

Additional one-on-one sessions with Zoë can be booked on site, as well as a session in Rian’s energy rebalancing chair. Also massage treatments may be booked subject to availability.

We prioritize comfort, safety, and respect—so you can show up as you are and feel free to follow your own needs.

❋ A Supportive Space

Even if this is a gentle retreat, or slow holidays, old layers may want to be shed. Know that an experienced guide holds space and supports you as needed.

❋ Expert Facilitation

You are invited to lend a hand in the kitchen or in the garden. It’s part of living naturally and a way to build community.

❋ Co-creating

  • I stayed 5 days in Amiglia and had a beautiful and unique experience of love, openness, grace, positive adaptability, participation and sharing thanks to Zoe and all the people I met during my stay. The concept of this community promotes a personal research on the relationship with oneself, people, nature and time. It involves reasoning, spirituality, practical life and much more as it provided with countless stimuli I have now the chance to think about further and read

    Guest at Amiglia

  • Even if you’re on a retreat, you’ll have enough time for yourself. The place and its surroundings are really beautiful and peaceful, just doing a walk around is a pleasure, and Amiglia is ideally situated. It feels isolated and quiet as it’s in the countryside, but it’s also close to a train station, a little river with a stone beach for when you want to cool off, and there’s a little village in walking distance. I enjoyed staying at Amiglia so much, I returned for a second time, and I’m hoping more visits will follow!”

We’ll end the retreat on Saturday in the morning.

  • Amiglia offers private rooms and shared rooms. Check out on our website what suits you best.

  • Provide us with all the information we need. You can also tell us if you would like to arrive on an earlier day or stay longer. Don’t forget to mention if you have a special diet.

We will also provide you with information about how we like to receive your donation once you have arrived.

  • It’s easy to come by train to Amiglia. The Spigno (Monferrato) railway station is at less than 5km and we are happy to pick you up (for free). The closest airport is Genova.
